Abstract

Websites and Digital Libraries can serve not only as platforms for consulting and viewing digital content but also as tools to create connections with the local area, providing a starting point for developing other inclusive and accessible projects and experiences. The Digital Library of Charles Albert's library at the Racconigi Castle was established within the project "The recovery of the Carlo-Albertine Library, a meeting place between the public and private life of the sovereign" . One of the main aspects of the project was to make the library's heritage digitally accessible through cataloging, digitization, and the creation of a digital library. This creates new connections with the local area on the one hand, and new content that in turn generates further content on the other.
