Mittellateinisches Wörterbuch and Thesaurus linguae Latinae – jointly addressing digital challenges

Abstract

The two major Latin dictionary projects at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Munich are undergoing profound changes driven by new digitalisation methods, which affect the workflow, the management of the extensive material, and the global accessibility of the results. Some solutions are already in place, while others are currently being implemented; in these developments, both the similarities and the differences between the two projects become apparent. What follows is the report of three staff members.
