New Guidelines for Bibliographic References: Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (author-date)
Announcement: Adoption of the Chicago Manual of Style (Author-Date) for Bibliographic References
To ensure consistency and uphold the highest standards of academic publishing, Umanistica Digitale has decided to adopt the rules outlined in the Chicago Manual of Style for all bibliographic references. Specifically, we will be implementing the Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (author-date) format.
All authors submitting manuscripts to the journal are required to adhere to this citation style. To facilitate this process, we strongly recommend using the Zotero reference manager. Zotero is a powerful tool that will help you collect, organize, and cite your sources correctly.
To format your bibliography according to our preferred style, please select the following style (CLS) within Zotero: Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (author-date)
Furthermore, authors are encouraged to always provide Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for their cited sources whenever they are available. This practice is crucial for ensuring the long-term accessibility and verification of the referenced material.
To further support our authors, Umanistica Digitale has a public Zotero group library which can be a valuable resource. You can access it here: https://www.zotero.org/groups/1624882/umanistica_digitale.
We thank you for your cooperation in implementing these new guidelines, which will contribute to the quality and scholarly rigor of our journal.
