Il presente contributo intende presentare gli sviluppi che si sono susseguiti nel campo della lessicografia storica in merito alla rappresentazione delle informazioni semantiche contenute nelle risorse digitali.
Muovendo da alcune considerazioni sul rapporto tra lessicografia e semantica lessicale nel secolo scorso, cercheremo di indagare se e in che modo la svolta digitale delle discipline umanistiche abbia influenzato l’interazione tra le due discipline. Dopo un’analisi delle modalità di digitalizzazione della lessicografia storica, passiamo in rassegna le possibilità – e le impossibilità – di indagine semantica offerte dalla lessicografia storica digitale.
La seconda parte del contributo esamina l’impatto dell’adozione delle tecnologie del Web Semantico sulla lessicografia nell’ultimo decennio. Nello specifico, mostreremo quali strumenti possono essere utilizzati per rappresentare le informazioni semantiche ed etimologiche all’interno delle risorse Linguistic Linked Data (LLD).
